CNA schools in Maryland are not hard to find. Maryland has a very straight forward approach to education and has outlined the course in such a way that it is easy for any school to offer this certification. Maryland requires a clear criminal history, to be mentally and physically fit, to be able to deal with multiple personalities and work very gruelling hours. The course has two sections lab/classroom training and practical training. The total hours spent on the course is 100 hours, 60 hours classroom training and 40 hours practical.

The possibility of finding online CNA courses in Maryland will be very rare as the state has set the course up to be very interactive. We went on a search for the top 3 schools in Maryland and although the schools in Maryland rate very high on the educational standards we were forced to cut our list down to the following three.

Baltimore City Community College
2901 Liberty Hts Ave. Zip, 21215-7893

The LSI (Life Sciences Institute) was founded in 1987 and moved to the University of Maryland in 2009 to use the nation’s top research facility as the home for the college. The BCCC offers a variety of field to study in and each has been designed to exceed the standards regulated by Maryland government.
CNA classed will be found at the UM Bio Park which is part of the Life Sciences Institute. The LSI has 11 laboratories, 10 classrooms and a lecture hall. The education level is so high that the college has a waiting list where only the top learners in the groups make it through.

The classes range from day to night and you have the option of choosing your timetable. A very lenient and flexible option for those working whilst studying. BCCC has a hands-on approach for students to fill the required practical hours, the advantage is that the experience needed for future employment is filled before exams are taking.
The bonus perk of studying at BCCC is that potential employers are just an elevator ride away from the campus. You are able to network and meet potential employers before receiving your certification. This helps when you are finished studying to find work faster and more efficiently.

BCCC has the highest ratings for their Life Sciences Institute and if money is a problem the school has many different ways in providing the funds necessary. The staff is very helpful and you can call at any time of the day for questions. BCCC has a very high rating for the medical training it provides.

Caroline Center
900 Somerset St, Baltimore, MD

In 1996 Caroline Center was established to educate women that are unemployed or underemployed. The school helps woman find their passions in the medical field and help them achieve these dreams. The school was named after Mother Caroline Friess (1824 – 1892) who journeyed to America. She is celebrated for her courage, leadership and vision. Her loving and grace-filled life inspired the school to help women just like her reach their goals.

The Caroline Center offers one program that includes: CNA/GNA and pharmacy technician skills, managing finances, customer service and professionalism, employment readiness and communication and conflict resolution. The program is designed to boost the position of underprivileged woman.

The school charges no fees and has managed to help thousands of woman find jobs and stability in their lives. Classes are small and allow personal help when needed. The school has a very talented school board and the instructors are carefully chosen to provide the best education available.

Caroline Center has managed to keep education level up and costs very low, the board as awarded the school a higher budget that could only allow Caroline Center to renovate the grounds that will allow more students to attend. Caroline Center provides the best CNA training in Maryland. The fact that they charge no tuition fees definitely does not mean that they cannot compete against Ivy League schools.

Ghandi Health Career Services
6120 Baltimore National Pike, 1st Floor Catonsville, MD 21228

The GHCS was founded after the death of Ghandi. His family opened the centre as a memory for the good work he did. The centre also cares for many AIDS victims and underprivileged people all over the world. The school allows two options, either a full time course or a course that can be completed on weekends. The centre has very high expectations of their students and the course is a strict one. One hundred percent attendance is required to pass the clinical exam as well as an 80% attendance on the practical.

The centre’s costs are minimal in relation to the standard of education students receive. Ghandi’s wife was a registered nurse which explains the level of expertise given to students. The centre provides job opportunities once the course has been completed with one of the many Healthcare providers affiliated with the centre.

Ghandi Health Career Services not only trains students to become certified nurse assistants but trains them to become exceptional healthcare providers. With a course that not only focuses on the CNA subjects but on all relating topics providing students with a broader knowledge that helps them further their careers.

Reading the views on the Ghandi Health Career Services makes the choice of which school to study at very obvious. Not only do they provide amazing services, they also make each student feel as if they were the most important one there. At the end of the day this helps students excel.

Most schools in Maryland focus on giving back to the community, a lesson well worth learning. Out of the countless schools available the differences between them made these three stand out. The importance of life skills being given to future healthcare providers is neglected in the bigger schools. Focus in education is shifted because of over filled classroom. Specialised education will eventually benefit the student as it focuses on what they need. The charitable actions of these schools ensure that others give when they have left. Teaching a person humility and generosity is a common trait in Maryland. Not only are the best schools located in this state but also the best communities.
